Robyn was first introduced to reflexology in the year 2000 by a colleague offering a demonstration of the practice. This helped bring an awareness to the interconnectedness of our body and how there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands and organs of the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes , reflexology therapy can relieve tension and improve circulation throughout the entire body, and support the body’s efforts to function optimally.
Several years later while Robyn was looking for a natural non-invasive therapeutic approach to her own wellness strategy she was introduced to reflexology again. She began receiving treatments on a regular basis and noticed a significant drop in her stress and anxiety levels, improvement in the quality of her sleep, reduction and elimination of pain in her neck, hip and lower back, a balancing of hormones, and improved digestion, including relief of acid reflux.
Robyn was so impressed by the results she was experiencing she wanted to know more about the techniques and began studying reflexology in 2019. With a desire to help others on their wellness journey she became a certified foot reflexologist through the Reflexology Association of Canada.
Robyn incorporates meditation, energy and breath practices from various traditions into her offerings with foot reflexology. She is currently studying facial reflexology and will be offering it to her clients in late spring 2021.
